Narrative
US 1900 Census lists Catherine Flood as widowed head of the family, with 6 of her 8 living children in her household. Daughters Mary Kate and Lizzie lived elsewhere. Her four sons were all working as plasterers at the time. Thomas had immigrated to New York in 1890, John the following year, while Catherine, the two younger sons and all four daughters followed in 1893.
