Narrative
Thomas C. was a Justice of the Peace in Limestone Co, AL, and performed many marriages in the 1850s and 1860s. He had a Land Grant in Limestone Co, sections 22, 23 and 24. It may be that Thomas C. was brother to Seaborn Jones, also from GA, who married Mary Howard. This assumption is based on the fact that Thomas is listed working the plantation of William Howard (Mary's brother) in Madison Co, AL, 1850 census. There are multiple Thomas, Seaborn and other Jones names listed during this time in Georgia and Alabama.
