Narrative
Thor granted the church of Tranent to the monks of Holyrood. Between 1127 and 1150 Thor was probably the nobleman Thor Sweynsson (possibly of Northumbrian origin) who witnessed charters of King David I, and was overlord of the great mountainous district of Crawford in Clydesdale.
