Narrative
In 1163 Shaw successfully suppressed, by order of King Malcolm IV of Scotland, a rebellion in Morayland, and was rewarded with the lands of Petty and Breachley with the forest of Strathdearn. He held the office of Constable of the Castle of Inverness.
