Narrative
In 1283 Alexander was besieged in the castle of Dunstaffnage by the Campbells. On 7 July 1292 he swore fealty to King Edward I. On 27 July 1296 he swore fealty to King Edward I. In 1307 he had to surrender the castle of Dunstaffange to King Robert I.
