Narrative
In 1296 Eustace was captured at the Battle of Dunbar and taken prisoner to England. After his release he ignored his excommunication by the Dean of Dunkeld for causing his men to lay violent hands on some of the lay brothers of Coupar Abbey, but later made amends to the Abbot.
