Narrative

John was Commissioner of Supply and Excise for Argyll and Perth. He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Campbell, of Glenorchy, Co. Perth after 1647. He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Perthshire of Foot. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] between 1661 and 1663.
