Narrative
In 1281 Patrick was sent to negotiate the marriage of Prince Alexander, son of King Alexander III of Scotland, with Margaret, daughter of Guy of Flanders. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1284. On 12 July 1292 he swore fealty to King Edward I of England. On 1 September 1294 he was called to attend King Edward to France. He fought in the Battle of Dunbar on 28 April 1296, on the English side, where he died.
