Narrative

Pierre gained the title of Comte de Nevers, Marquis de Nemur, Comte de Tonnerre, Comte d'Auxerre, and Seigneur de Courtenay. He fought in the Third Crusade in 1190. He fought in the Battle of Bouvins in 1214. He gained the title of Emperor-elect of Constantinople in 1216. He succeeded to the title of Emperor Peter II of Constantinople in 1217, crowned by the Pope in Rome. He was deposed as Emperor of Constantinople in 1217. He was put to death in 1219.
