Narrative

Alan fought in the vanguard in the Battle of Falkirk in 1298. He was created 1st Lord Zouche [England by writ] on 5 February 1299. He was Keeper of the forests between Oxford and Stamford Bridges from February 1312 to February 1314. He held the office of Constable of Rockingham Castle from February 1312 to February 1314. On his death his title fell into abeyance, since he died without male issue.
