Wake, Baldwin
| Birth Name | Wake, Baldwin |
| Gender | male |
Narrative
Baldwin was Feudal Lord of Bourne. In 1207 he was imprisoned by King John, probably triggered by Baldwin currying favor with the French in an effort to hold his lands in Normandy. Before 1210 he was pardoned and regranted his English lands, retaining also his holdings in Guernsey but losing those in Normandy, following the seizure of King John's territory in Normandy by the French in 1206. He died on 20 July 1213, allegedly killed by a crossbow bolt before while besieging a castle in Gascony.
