Obituary:

SHANNON RITES HELD FRIDAY

Funeral for Will A. Shannon,76, was held Friday at an Ardmore funeral home.
The Rev. W. C. Steadman officiated, assisted by the Rev. J. M. Vickers, and the Rev. L. R. Harbor. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mr. Shannon died Thursday afternoon at his home on Toney Rt. 2 following a heart attack.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Pearlie Shannon; four daughters, Mrs. Olevie Fulton, Nashville; Mrs. Mary Lou Beach, Mrs. Jimmie Mae Hubbard and Mrs. Catherine Bartlett, Toney; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Reyer, Ardmore, and Mrs. Jesse Reyer, Athens; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers' were Elgie Neeley, Joe Politz, Elbert Sanders, Posey Johnson, Blake Marberry George Caldwell.
