Narrative

Benjamin Hamblen was in Kent Co., MD by 1685 as a respected citizen. He sold Nancy's Choice in 1702 and part of Stanlie's Hope in 1703. He must have died shortly thereafter, or at least by 1707. In the Rent Rolls of Kent Co., MD, 1658– 1724, at the MD Historical Society Library, Baltimore, Widow Hamblin was holding 50a. of Stanlie's Hope and 50a. of Grange for John Hamblin, a minor and orphan. It appears certain that this John was the eldest son of Benjamin.
