Per the recollections of Grace McDermott Hanrahan:

Twin sister Genevieve was stillborn. Grace met her future husband at Kings Park State Hospital in Kings Park, NY. Grace was working as head bookkeeper and Joseph was working in security. Grace traveled by bus from Freeport to Camp Shelby, MS, to marry Joseph before he shipped out in WW II.
